When is it safe...

I was going to have my car detailed this coming weekend. Then we got snow on Monday, yesterday and today. What's up with that? I don't want to spend good money on detailing my car to just go down the drain with snow and salt. When is it safe to detail the car knowing that it will last more than a few days?

Probably middle of May, if you live in the north (which it sounds like you do, since they are using salt on the roads - in the south they use sand). Although, I remember getting snow in June one year.

It all depends on where you live. I have washed and waxed my truck by hand twice in the last month because of the snow so I understand your worries. I don't thinks it is ever too early! I know you don't want to waste money or your efforts cleaning your car if it may not last, but it feels great rolling around in a nice shiny ride for a couple days while everyone else's cars are covered in salt. But then there is that awful feeling when your shiny waxed car gets coated in salt two days later. For me I hate having a dirty ride.
