Wipers - new and still not working

I just changed my windshield wipers and they still are awful! They miss spots when cleaning the windshield – of course they miss a spot right on my side (driver side). Why are they doing this? Could it be the windshield itself and not the wipers? Perhaps it’s a warped windshield. I even went to Autozone and they sold me expensive wipers (supposed to be for my car). I hope I did not get ripped on that purchase.

Are the metal tips that hold the blade in place too close to the ends. It will make the blade bow instead of following the contour of the glass. I've seen some wiper arms get bent over time, and had to be re-adjusted so that there is pressure on the windshield.

So it could be the arms of the wiper and not the wiper? I had the AutoZone people put the last ones on. I would think they would have said something. I don't think the tips look odd at all. I'm going to have my dad take a look tomorrow.
