Won't stay running

My co-worker went out to start his car tonight to leave and go home and his car would not stay running. He has a Charger. He had a full tank of gas and it ran fine at lunch time. It's starting up but then like jumping a bit and then shutting off. What could it be?

When did he fill up? It could be bad gas? Or it could be the fuel line - hole in it. Did he take it to the shop or is he going to try to fix it himself? Sounds like it something to do with gas though, if it runs and then jumps.

This actually sounds like a problem with either the distributor or the high voltage cable. If it's fuel problem, then it would not have started in the first place. This is just a hunch. I'm not 100% sure. But it may help taking a look at how firmly the high voltage cables are inserted on the tips of engine spark plugs.

The first thought in my mind is that it sounds like it's not getting enough fuel. Has it been really cold? How low was the tank before he filled up? He could have gotten moisture in the gas tank if he ran it real low before filling up.

Fuel filter? We've had similar issues in the past and at least twice it ended up being the fuel filter (which is usually an easy and inexpensive fix). I hope it ends up being something simple for you!
