Worst ticket?

What is your worst ticket? Was it for parking, speeding, or did it go as far as reckless driving? I was going about 60 in a 30 zone and the officer took me in and I had to spend the night in jail for reckless driving. This was when I was a young kid though. My uncle was a cop and got it taken off my record but it sure was a life lesson.

I got a ticket for not yielding right of way. Of course I looked and turned, sadly at that moment a guy pulling out of a parking lot next to the intersection hit me. I could smell the beer on his breath but he was the cops cousin. I could cause a big stink in a small town or just pay the ticket and move on, so that is what I did.

I haven't received a ticket in many years. When I was sixteen I was issued my first ticket and I remember being so embarrassed. I felt like I was on display for all to see. The cop said I was passing someone and trying to beat the light at the same time. What? I had no idea what he was talking about. He was not happy. He was quite surly and firm with me.

I have never received a ticket. I have sped plenty, but I guess I just get lucky. Usually I try not to go any more than 10 mph over the speed limit just to be safe.

I haven't had a ticket in a very, very long time, but I think the most annoying one was the one I got backing out of my own driveway. I backed into the neighbor's truck.

If you're going less than 10 mph over the speed limit, that's not bad at all. Where I live, people routinely drive about 10 mph over the limit, and are rarely issued tickets for that. The only speeding ticket I ever got was for going 94 on the freeway. I'd never had a speeding ticket after several years of driving, but I finally got caught. I learned my lesson, I never go that fast anymore.

I'd say my worst tickets as far as fairness goes would be parking tickets. I understand the laws better now, but they can be pretty confusing when you're new to a city. I think the signs should be more a little more clear, but I guess the burden is on the driver to get it right.

You got a ticket for backing into your neighbors truck? That's ridiculous. That's clearly just a mistake on your part and it shouldn't have gotten the cops involved.

The neighbor's truck should not have blocked you in, but I could see the "at fault" with this since you backed from your property (more than likely) onto a public road.

Mine was being clocked @ 83 in a 65. Good thing he did not clock me for what I was actually doing. ;) Many years ago along with being my 1st and only ticket. :)

Personally, I've never had any bad tickets. I have been in the car with others who have gone a large amount over the speed limit, but never myself. My biggest ticket was 80 dollars for not using a left turn blinker at midnight when there was no one around but the cop following me because I was a white guy driving through a colored neighborhood. He had nothing on me so he just wrote me up for the blinker. That's my only traffic fault.
