I would, at the very least, replace 1 whole set. Kind of like how you don't want to change just one tire. Either both front or both back at the same time.
My toolkit is in my trunk. Jacks, spare, jumper cables, ratchet set, screwdrivers, etc... I live in a small country town with no services, so car maintenance is priority #1.
How difficult would it be to paint your own car. I know there's special equipment you have to buy, and have a well ventilated space, but really, how hard could it be?
All the basics I can take care of myself, if it's something specialized, someone in this small, country town can do it for me at a much lower price than an ASE man.
Two of my favorites so far: "Be nice to America, or we'll bring Democracy to your country", "If money is the root of all evil, why do churches beg for it?"
I have a 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan with a recurring problem. Whenever it rains and there's standing water on the roads, my serpentine belt slips off. I can put it back on just fine, but is there anything I can do to stop this from happening? I'm getting kind of tired of re-stringing my belt back...
The speed indicates engine performance. What's under the hood will always take priority with me over what the car looks like. I'd rather work good than look pretty.
What is the longest time that you, or someone you directly knew, has kept their car and kept it in good running condition? I've had mine for 12 years now and it has 239,000 miles on it.
If it only does this at certain speeds, then you'll want to look at your transmission also. Flush it and change out the fluids. How many miles are on the tranny alone? Is it the original?
Another Oldsmobile, pre 1998. Preferably a Delta 88. The engines in those last forever. I've had the one I have now for 10 years with no major problems.
I have a '96 Olds Delta 88 with the rear view mirror on the drivers side broken off where it connects to the body. I've tried several different glues with no luck. Any suggestions?
