In my view, it's USAA. I've had them since 1980, and I've had nothing but great results. They are sending someone to my work, free of charge Monday, just to fix my windshield crack. They also have a car buying program where we get a discounted price on cars. I love them.

You really need to address it ASAP. That crack will get bigger, and eventually the whole windshield will crack on you. You should call your insurance. Thanks for the tips by the way. I called USAA earlier and they are sending someone to my work to inject it for me. Great company!

Anyone consider a muffler upgrade? I'm thinking of replacing mine to increase MPG... even though gas prices came back down I really don't know what's going to happen if they are going to go up/down again, so I'd like to have a crutch.

That's really not true. It doesn't do anything to increase performance even if you do it every time. Would it idle smoother? Probably not. Even if it did, that's really negligible for the price.

Unless you're replacing your engine with a V12, you really don't have to worry about upgrades ruining your MPG that much. You could consider supercharging your car, but it should be accompanied by a muffler upgrade or an air intake upgrade to make up for the lost MPG.

Is it really that much of an effect on your MPG if you turn the AC off/on or use windows instead? I don't think it can be that much... and as for my AC usage, I use mine all the time. From April to November pretty much. I have allergies so opening the window distracts me when I drive.
