When I looked into the possibility last winter, the cost was something like almost $1100 dollars. With that kind of cost, it would take awhile for improved gas mileage to offset the cost. I'd steer clear.
Low miles is the main thing I look for. Even if a used car is older, if it has low miles, that's a huge plus in my book. The more mileage on it, the more wear and tear it has gone through.
It seems that the dealers who offer dealer financing are getting a bit more lenient about offering people loans. That could mean the economy is hurting and that's what they feel forced to do to sell cars.
Do you live in the kind of place where it is just pleasant to go out for a a drive for a couple of hours just to relax and take in the scenery? I love to do this from time to time.
Nice research work there Max. I think it's time for some savvy business persons to get serious about bio-diesel. Bio-diesel might be pricey at first, but I would buy it. (Maybe THAT'S the strategy....?)
Sounds like a great way to do business. We have a one of a kind place like that here in town that has been a family business for over 80 years. They have me spoiled.
I have heard about it. What I have read about it is that for tiny dings, light scratches and swirls in the paint finish, it works. I guess it's still being researched by the auto makers.
I'm glad I live out in the country and don't have to deal with neighbors. I'm not sure how the weed eater guy could fulfill his contract and avoid your car. That's just lousy though.
The intervals between oil changes are really increasing as the automotive technology improves and as synthetic oils improve. I think it's great for the environment.
I always go with the highest deductible I can. It's a bit of a gamble, of course, but the odd are in your favor if you're a defensive driver and obey traffic regs.
We have the pollen issue here as well. It lasts for about a month in May. I have found that using Rainex products, I can do a quick spray down each day if I want to.
I thought I heard just within the last day or so that the price of a barrel of oil actually hit $108? Is that right? That would be at least a $10 per barrel increase since the whole Libya thing started?
The rubber floor mats I bought last fall really took a beating this winter. Sure glad I invested in them. I tried to clean them today, and they don't look that good. Any tricks of the trade to clean them up, or should I invest in new ones?
I have a unit that fits into a cradle in my car or in my house and I use it in both areas. I've never had a problem with it either way. Does it have something to do with where your car is relative to where the satellite is at that time of day?
