My wife said her grandfather taught her to make it her business to know how to change a flat on her car. This weekend, that's what we did for both our vehicles. Have you been through the drill for your vehicles?
I wonder how this recall by GM will affect sales and the price of their stock ?? Toyota's recent problems didn't bode well for their 2010 sales at all.
When I see these high-end SUVs driving around made by Mercedes-Benz, BMW or Lexus, they always look out of place to me. Do you have a similar reaction?
I like weekend trips, but I REALLY like mid-week trips a lot better. I'm not keen on big crowds of people, so I like to go places at times when we can have the place to ourselves.
I did not know that! So if it dies in your driveway, push it to the street if you want the assistance. When they say roadside assistance, I guess they mean ROADside.
What ever happened to the simple idea of good old-fashioned transportation? Sometimes technology is just about "because we can" not because "we need to".
I have a 2008 Chevy Trailblazer. I was thinking "Wow, tire chains have been around forever---now all of a sudden their too bulky for today's models?" Thanks for the info!
There used to be a product on the market called "DriZAir". My parents used to put a package of the stuff in our camper when they buttoned it up for the winter. It worked like a charm.
I've only had my new car about eight months and there are these blotchy, ring-shaped discolorations all over the exterior that I can't remove. I don't remember any situations that could have caused this. What could it be??
Money is tight, so I'm thinking of buying two tires in the spring, and two in the fall. I could squeak another year out of them if I had to, but I'd rather not push it. Any down side to doing two at a time?
I considered tire chains for better traction. I checked my manual to see what's involved. It said NOT to use chains due to lack of clearance, but to use "another type of traction device that will fit." What other types are there?
The government has set fuel efficiency standards that raise the minimum mpg by 30 per cent each year between 2011 and 2016. I think it's about time, don't you? I wonder why they haven't upped it sooner.
I would definitely add a space blanket---you know the kind originally designed for astronauts? When you wrap yourself in one, it's designed to reflect body heat to keep you warm.
Sounds like you are doing the right thing by slowing way down. I will never understand why some folks insist on driving fast in slick conditions! Do they like the thrill or something?
I saw that the Chevy Volt comes with an 8 year/100,000 mile warranty on the battery. I thought that wa pretty good. How does that compare to other green cars?
I'm not a morning person, so I can never factor in enough time for breakfast at home. I "multi-task" by driving to work with a breakfast bar and a cup of coffee.
