It looks like doing it yourself is just a temporary fix. I can live with that until Summer gets here. I don't really have the money right now to replace the whole windshield for a tiny chip.

I know there is a way to fill in the chip without replacing the window. What I don't know is if I have to contact a glass company to do this or can I buy a kit and do it myself?

My city has hazardous waste drop off twice a year. I usually will take my used oil to that and the best part is it's free! You should check with you local city and see if they hold those at all.

My state has strict seatbelt laws and even hold seatbelt check points a couple times a year. The buses don't have them because studies showed it's safer for them NOT to have seatbelts.

I talk on my cell phone while driving but I have a hands free device. If traffic gets too thick then I tell the person I'll call them back and I NEVER text while driving.

Let them freeze or at least find a self serve car wash where you pay before you bring your car in the bay.

That is true. The air gets trapped between the gas and the cap causing moisture which in turn can mess your car up. I say, if you see your tank is below 1/2 a tank, stop and fill it up.

I see your point but this past summer there were several cars that lost their tires, flew over the median and one man was even killed when one of those tires hit his windshield. Something needs to be done but at what cost?

I don't like the idea of these "tiny" cars at all. To me they are unsafe and would crumble if they get in an accident of the expressway. Plus, most of these cars are only two passenger vehicles, which make them useless for a family of three or more.
