    Horn would not stop

As long as she got it to the garage that was fine. Hope it wasn't a long way. She could have unhooked the battery to see if it would reset itself.

    Leaf Lookers

Drove through the Appalachian Mountains this weekend to enjoy the changing leaves. Only problem was everybody and their brother was there too and half of them don't know how to drive in the mountains. Frustrating!

    Changing upholstery

You don't say if he plans to do this himself or have it done. If the car is in good condition and the upholstery is all that's wrong with it, then I say do it. But, I would have it done. Too much work to do it myself.

    Bose

Used to have one and it was great. Sold the car and haven't had one since. Bose does bring a degree of sound that you just can't seem to get with any other system.

How do you wash you car?

With the schedule I keep, I usually run it through the car wash. We do have a couple of places that add personal attention to the vehicle after they run it through the car was. They vacuum it out, wipe it down and hand was the windows. Nice. Expensive, but nice.

    Heated Seats

Heated seats are wonderful, especially on those super cold mornings when you must get out and go to work. I try to start my car at least 5 minutes before I leave in order for it to warm up and I turn the seats on when I start the car. Toasty and nice when I get in.

    Michelin Tires

I have Uniroyal Tiger Paws on my vehicle and like them very much. They are made for repelling water and snow and from where I stand, they work very well. Of course, common sense tells you to slow down in a down pour but I've not hydoplaned once with these tires.

    Fatalities

My brother was a motorcycle nut. Notice I said "was." He was a very responsible and safe driver and had some nice bikes. After he plowed out a couple of ditches, he is no longer a motorcycle nut.

    Fall is in the air!

We're supposed to be down in the 40's by Tuesday morning. It sure will feel good after the summer we've had. I'm really not looking forward to snow and freezing temperatures though.

    Bent Wiper

I had one like that once and when I went to replace it, the salesman at the store didn't charge me anything. He said the wiper looked defective to him and it would be sent back to the manufacturer. Good deal!

    Insurance

We're with Allstate at the present time. I was considering Progressive but after reading your post vroombaby, I think I will shop around. Thanks for the info.

    Changing a wiper

Just had one replaced yesterday. Drove right up to Advance Auto, went in, had the salesman help me with make and model and he followed me right out and changed it for me. Can't get any easier than that. Nice!

    Carburetors

Do you remember cars with carburetors? If you do, you're as old as I am and knew how easy it was to work on cars back then. Now, you can barely see the ground when you pop the hood on any car, let alone work on one.

    Insurance

How much are ya'll paying for car insurance. We have no tickets and beater cars but it seems like we are paying too much and it just keeps going up.

    Having a Carport installed

We had one installed several years ago and really like it. I assume you are talking about the metal ones? It didn't take long to install and is fairly attractive. We got a the black top to match the roof of our house.

    Smart Cars

I watched that video or one similar to it and althought the car survived, I still wouldn't have one of these. They're just too small and not enough steel between me and the other drivers.

    Great Place to be

You sure have. If you can't find it here, then it hasn't happened yet. These folks are very knowledgeable about vehicles and their problems. Just ask.

    Mustang

Compared with the 1967 Mustang Shelby GT500, the 2013 Mustang Shelby GT500 looks surprisingly similar. The 2013 is a little thicker and a little more compact but the design is still the same. Love those mustangs!

    Baby puke smell

Try pressure washing the engine and putting a jar of smells-be-gone in the back floor board. I had a similar situation a while back and this worked like a dream. No more smells.

    Tire Air Frustration

Air pressure is very important in order for your tires to wear evenly. The weather has lots to do with this too. I get mine checked with every oil change which includes every season as well.
