    Dusty Dash

I have had pretty good luck with Armor All. It doesn't repel dust, but it seems like it takes a little longer for the dust to build up.

    Owner's Manual

I inherited my Dad's truck, but it doesn't have a owner's manual in it. I was wondering where the best place is to order one from. I looked on eBay, but they didn't have the owner's manual with the year and model that I needed.

    New car and long trip

I have a friend who likes to buy old cars on eBay and then fly out to drive them home. He and his wife have had some pretty interesting experiences with the cars breaking down, but he works on them, so he can usually handle any problem that may come up.

    Secession

I read online yesterday that 50 states have petitions. I haven't read whether any of them other than Texas have gotten the 25,000 signatures though.

    Buying a Beamer

I owned a BMW 750 several years ago. I loved it. The only thing I didn't like is that if it ever needed work done, not just anyone could do it.

    Service Engine Light

I believe I had a problem with the distributor cap one other time. Would an error code show up if that was the problem? The mechanic said that the computer wasn't showing any type of error code when he ran the diagnostics.

    Loose wire?

I've helped pull a dash before, but it was on an older model car. It doesn't have rear speakers. Just dash and door. It gets great sound when its working okay, but other times everything is just distorted. Where is the best place to get stereo work done if I decide not to try it myself?

    Service Engine Light

Thank you! I hadn't thought about checking on the Internet for this particular problem. I told this to the mechanic, but he kind of brushed me off since his machine didn't show any error codes that could explain this. I will do some research and see what I can find out.

    Large Rims?

When I see the big rims on little tires, the car is usually what a friend of mine calls "pimped out." I would say it is for looks, but I'm not sure either.

    Service Engine Light

Does anyone know what could make a service engine light come on only when it is raining or high humidity? It will come on every so often when we have rain and then in a few days, it goes back off. Any ideas?

    Fuel Additives

We could really tell a difference when we put an additive in our truck. It usually pings when it has to climb hills and the pinging stopped almost immediately after we put it in.

    Age of Transmission

Unfortunately, I had to have my rebuilt at the first of the year, so I can't prove or disprove your theory. Mine had about 111,000 miles on it at the time.

    Michelin Tires

Yes, there is one stretch of road that I am occasionally on that makes my Michelin tires "sing." It doesn't do it when we are in my husband's truck, so I'm not sure what the difference is, but it is certainly noticeable.

    An Olympic rant

I'm not into the summer Olympics, but they did the same thing with the figure skating during the winter Olympics. I would let the DVR tape the events and then watch them the next day. This works good for fast forwarding past all the nonsense in between performances too.

    New or Slightly Used?

I prefer new cars, but when we buy them we plan to keep them. My current vehicle was bought new and has 112,000 miles on it now.

    Do You Like Convertibles?

I use to have a Mustang that was a convertible. I really enjoyed it, but it seemed like every summer it was too hot and in the spring the pollen bothered me, so I didn't get to have the top down on it as much as I would have liked to.

    Smart Cars

There is a pink Smart Car that I see all over town. I admit they are cute, but I don't know if I could ever be comfortable in one. Has anyone ever rode in one and are they as tight a fit as they appear?

    Oil Changes

I have heard that it is okay to let it go over that much, but it kind of depends on who you talk to or what you read. I typically change my oil about that often and so far I haven't had any problems.

Keeping a center punch in the car

A center punch is a great idea. Most of them also have a blade on the other end in case you have to cut yourself out of your seat belt. The trick is to put it somewhere that is close enough so that you can easily reach it if you need it.

    Loose wire?

I seem to have something going wrong with the speakers in the dashboard. There are times they are fine and other times I have a lot of static. Would this be a loose wire and is it something I can fix myself?
