    Killer carts!

It is annoying to have a cart (or buggy, as we call them in the south) race across the aisle and bop the car. Like spinner, though, my car is old enough and been around enough that I wouldn't notice another small scratch or dent!

    Dream Road Trips

Yes! My family are active online and we have friends all over the country that we would like to meet in person! We'd also like to take in some of the major landmarks on our trip, but the people are more important!

    Tickets

Do you drive one of the cars most likely to be given a ticket? Amazingly enough, the study shows that it is NOT cars painted red! It says 8/10 of the *least* ticketed vehicles are SUVs and minivans.

Setting up a Home Auto Fix-it shop

My father-in-law does some of this sort of thing. He has one of those air tools, and it is a great help, especially for stuck bolts and things like that. Also, if you don't already have the platforms that you drive up onto, you will certainly want those.

    Electric cars and performance

It seems like amenities such as air conditioning and radio are going to affect performance to some degree, also, as they will be running from the same battery, wouldn't they?

BMW creating new jobs in SC

I haven't driven a BMW, but it's good to know there are still companies willing to bring jobs and business to AMERICA instead of sending it all overseas! Way to go, BMW!

    Auto Museum / Halloween

The Saratoga Automobile Museum is having a Halloween-themed car show on Saturday. This museum is in Saratoga Springs, NY. They're also opening two new exhibits on Saturday. Looks like fun!

    AM radio

Yeah, I'm thinking I should be able to pull it out and put in a new one. I think I want to get the CD player kind. I wouldn't mind having the cassette player, since I still have a bunch of cassettes and my XM radio came with a cassette adapter, but I'm not sure they even SELL them anymore, since...

    Replacing seats?

It looks like they just bolt to a base. Seems like that should be pretty easy to replace with pretty much anything, as long as it has holes in the bottom of the frame, right? I'll just need to make sure they're the same width so they bolt properly, I think. Thanks!

    The automobile changed the world

Of course we know that... but Daimler's CEO Dieter Zetsche focused a speech on this topic recently, according to the Montreal Gazette. He also discussed what he expects to see in the automotive world over the next 125 years (the 125th birthday of the automobile is coming up).

    How do they do it

I hadn't heard about any restrictions on testing here, but I haven't looked into it that closely, since my daughter still has a couple years before she'll be at that point. I'll definitely need to find out about that!

    Woman Dies in Racing Class

Wow! What a tragic accident! My mother has often spoken of wanting to try racing. I think she needs to read this article before she decides to go to one of these classes, just so she will understand that even classes are dangerous! Thanks for posting.

    AM radio

In my 90 Ford Club Wagon, all I have is an AM radio (haven't changed it out yet). Do you have any idea how FEW decent stations are out there broadcasting on AM channels? Pretty sad! LOL

    Virago 250

My son has a Yamaha Virago 250, and he has had problem after problem with it (it sat for a year before he bought it). He is currently saving up to get the back wheel fixed (it's less than six months old and leaking air already!) and the brakes (which probably should have been done sooner). It's...

    Diagnostic Car Computer

I don't know of any offhand, but that certainly would be a very useful thing to have! We use our laptop in the car all the time for GPS and such, so software of this sort would be right up my alley!

    Reupholstering

Do they need to be entirely reupholstered? Do you think you could get away with just putting on seat covers? They have nice ones now that fit tightly and look like actual upholstery more than "seat covers."

    Once A Year?

They're probably trying to cater to people like me who just don't have time to change my oil every 3,000 miles. Well, plus the fact that I forget if I don't write it down!

Are You As Likely To Buy A New Car Now?

Even without the depreciation, I prefer older vehicles, because the new ones are built to crumple and get totaled in a wreck, while the older ones were built to last!

    Replacing seats?

I have a van that has seats up front with no arm rests. How hard is it to replace them with ones that do have arm rests? It's a 1990 Ford Club Wagon.

    Glass packs

I've heard it is illegal to have glass packs. Is that just in certain states? Is there any good reason NOT to get them (if they're not illegal, of course)? Even if they don't improve performance, they sure do add an awesome coolness factor!
