I don't think that it made any difference in my driving. I was taught to be a careful driver as a new driver, and that pretty much has carried through my entire driving career.
Plain soap and water should be sufficient. The really dangerous substances are shaving cream and soda pop. Both of those will eat paint off the car. I think eggs just make a mess.
You can always decorate their cars for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Sounds like it would be very fun! I hope you took pictures; that will be a great memory!
Any kind of anger and short-temperedness is only detrimental - both to the angry person and to the object of his anger, if he acts on it. Anger never *helps* any situation, and often makes things worse.
This poor guy was having his car towed, and, while riding behind the tow truck, saw the car fall off the flatbed! I'm sure that is going to be a pain to get taken care of!
Yeah, one guy says he can do it for $100, but I'm not sure that it will really work out that way. You know how things are always worse than one thinks.
I can't think of anything offhand, but I'm sure I've seen something. I saw a car once where there was a dog buckled into the passenger seat; that might be the weirdest.
I don't think they turning it in to the insurance company. The younger nephew hit his shoulder, not his head, thankfully. I think it DID teach him a lesson (the older one). He has to pay for the window replacement.
Wow, that would really be irritating - for both of them. Do you know if they bothered to file a claim with their insurance, or did they decide to just let it go? Hope he didn't get too mad at her.
You know, it's an oxymoron: "loud muffler" when to muffle means to make quieter! I don't understand the desire to have the car so loud, either. I prefer to have mine smooth and quiet!
My adult nephew was driving my other nephews and nieces and decided to be silly. They had stopped at a restaurant, and when they were back in the car but not in their seats yet, he hit the gas. Usually my other nephew lands in the back seat, but this time he was in a different position and hit...
Wow! I would love to make a car last that long, even if I DIDN'T get a brand new car out of the deal! That's very cool of the company to do that for him.
I guess it depends on how serious the issues are. If there are things that, if it were reversed (i.e. they were selling and you were buying), would be a dealbreaker, then you really ought to disclose it, in my opinion.
I don't know anything about Miatas, either. I wish I was able to just buy a car on a whim like that, though. That would be very cool. In fact, it would be cool to be *able* to, even if I didn't actually DO it!
When I was growing up (in the northeastern USA), my family always switched to snow tires in the winter, but where I live now (southeastern USA), there is no need. I keep regular tires on the car at all times.
It sounds a lot weird, but wasn't really. This poor guy was working on his car from underneath when it rolled off the jacks. Bad deal. I'm thankful I haven't had that happen. Whenever mine came off the jack, I wasn't under it.
Mostly just around town, and it is only about 15 miles from one end of town to the other. Thankfully, it saves wear and tear on the car to live in a town that small.
I think seat covers are an excellent idea. The only problem I have with them is finding the right ones to fit the seats in my (older) vehicles. Why do they keep changing seat shapes?
Seems like it would be even better if you were able to add a little "cargo" area. You would pretty much have a car, but better gas mileage and less expensive!
