Races are not really my thing. They seem to be kind of pointless, to me. Driving around in circles for half an hour, or whatever - just not my speed (no pun intended).
This is something we face in every political election, it seems. The decent people don't have the money to run, I think. What we need is for someone to find an excellent candidate and spread the word as a write-in campaign.
I have never paid payments for a vehicle. I always save up and buy used vehicles. The thing about new cars is that they lose half their value when you drive them off the lot.
I bought my first car at 16, but it only cost me $200. Yeah, it needed a bit of work to run properly! I guess when you add up the maintenance work, it cost me close to $1,000.
I think the color wouldn't bother me particularly, but I've never had a car nice enough to care. If you do a search online, there's instructions how you can paint it yourself, if you can find the right color of paint.
I haven't actually purchased any of the Rain-X brand wipers yet, but after reading this thread, I will definitely consider them when I need to replace my wipers again!
That makes more sense to me than sharing a personal car. It seems like it would be difficult to share a personal car because it wouldn't always be available when you wanted (or needed!) it.
Apparently, in some areas, car shares are the way to go. People are sharing cars to save money on gas and maintenance. Do you think you would participate in a deal like this?
I checked prices with the ones that advertise, but they all came up higher than the one I use. I switched to this one a few years ago after I heard eight or ten people who used my old company got dropped for no apparent reason. I decided to switch to one that wasn't dropping people!
Yeah, I primarily use my car and others use it only rarely, but it still gets to be a mess! Somehow I never have time to clean it out good. It isn't filthy, just really, really cluttered.
Wouldn't that be a trip? You know they're putting all those premiums into interest-bearing accounts and making lots of money off us. I just don't see it happening, though.
I think they look very nice when restored to original state, including color. On the other hand, if it's done well, it won't look bad even if you change the color, so it's pretty much up to the owner, in my opinion.
They don't always enforce that on main roads and interstates. I think the main reason they have the ordinance is for residential areas, and yes, it's pretty easy to be sure when you're in a neighborhood.
Has it been fully charged since then? I would think if you haven't recharged it fully, that would be the next step. Also, quit leaving your lights on without the car on. ;-)
Yeah, I tend to wait until it's imperative (usually because something is leaking or broken) before I replace mine. Yes, I've broken down because of it.
You should go to AutoZone or somewhere and have them check it (they have a tool that will give a code that tells for what reason the light is lit). Most cars' computers these days are set to turn on that light after so many miles, just to get you to take it in and have it reset.
Yeah, I would be wary of a B1G1 deal in cars, too! Wow. I hesitate to say I would *never* buy a certain car or brand of car, though, because I generally have to buy what's inexpensive when I need one!
I agree. There ought to be a cheat sheet available somewhere, or a brochure at the welcome center or something that lists major state-specific traffic laws that people need to know.
I wouldn't ride a motorcycle without a helmet myself, but I also think that it isn't the government's place to legislate safety. If they would make people responsible for their own safety -- and not give rewards to idiots -- maybe people would be safer on their own.
