    Minivan vs. Big SUV

I think mostly it depends on how many seats you need - are you switching for cargo or passenger space? We currently need something with at least 8 seats, so we're pretty limited in our choices.

    Leaving cars unlocked

We usually lock the cars, but I have a relative who not only never locks the car, they also leave their keys in it most of the time! I can't figure out how they've never had any problems!

    Stolen cars

Thankfully, no. I've thought it might be once or twice when friends of mine played pranks on me, but it's always just been people being annoying and not actually stolen.

    How many cars?

We have three, and a motorcycle, in our family, but we really need one more. My daughter is going to be getting her license soon, and that will leave us one car short. Plus, our current three are all old and really need to be replaced at some point. Affording them, however, is a whole different...

How to talk him out of this

That will be pretty difficult, with gas prices as they are. My son has a motorcycle and he loves the fact that he can go as far on 2.5 gallons of gas as we can on about 15. If he can get one at a reasonable price, you might be better off just letting him have it and pray for his safety!

    Speaking of gas....

Yeah, we keep meaning to fill up when it hits half a tank, but something about knowing there's still enough in there for now, combined with a lack of cash, means we still end up nearly empty to often!

    Parts online

We usually buy car parts locally, but my son's motorcycle parts have all been ordered online because we live in a kind of small town and we don't have a good bike shop here.

    Working on my own car

Exactly, Chevy! They put things in weird places now - I'm not sure how even the "qualified mechanics" can get to them, half the time. It's just ridiculous!

    Toolbox for truck

I don't know about tool boxes, but I'm thinking a decent bed cover that opens up with hinges would make it so you could fit nearly EVERYthing in there!

    Syracuse dealer's fraud

Wow, it's really sad that people can get away with stuff like this - although this guy didn't get away with it! Anthony Spinella, Jr ripped off a lot of people at his car dealership. He didn't pay off loans on trade-ins; he didn't take care of activating extended warranties; he really made a...

    Cleaning floor mats

Did you use hot water, soap, and a good stiff brush? If not, try that. If so, you will probably have to just invest in some new ones. At least it's the mats and not your carpet!

    Natural gas powered car

That is, a car powered by natural gas. It's a new one on me, and probably most of you. It's going to be a variation of the Honda Civic, put out by Honda and carrying the same name, with added letters to designate it.

    Car washes

They closed one in N. Memphis because it became a place for drug transactions and other undesirable behavior. Do the car washes in your area tend to attract this kind of person? I know one place I lived, it was not unusual to see porn magazines left on top of the trash cans. Pretty sad.

    Rain-X

Rain-X is awesome! Now, there is one sort of windshield whose coating causes it to stay foggy, from what I've heard, though I haven't experienced that myself. Windshield wipers are pretty much obsolete when Rain-X is on there!

How many miles on your engine?

My GMC Safari had over 200,000 on it when we put in a new engine. My Dodge Grand Caravan had over 200,000 on it when we BOUGHT it. That was several years ago. The GMC has over 300,000 now.

    Think it will hit $5.00??

I've heard that the Democrats (specifically, Nancy Pelosi) have said that they want it to get to $5/gallon. And, really, they have no incentive NOT to, and much incentive TO raise it that high - since they get a *percentage* in taxes. The more we pay, the more they get.

    Manners

Nerve, indeed! I wonder what it was she thought *you* had done wrong? Seems like her passenger ought to be more careful. On the other hand, maybe she was just having a bad day.

    Funny the way it is

I can't imagine adding cosmetic stuff like that. If it improved performance, it might be worth it despite the actual appearance of the vehicle, though.

    How long is your commute?

I'm self-employed, so my commute - isn't! Although, I do sometimes do work at other businesses, so there's a little bit of a drive then.

    Device Cradles

The cradle, or the phone? Of course, I keep my phone with me. I don't have a cradle, but I think if I did, I'd leave it in the car because it would seem pointless to me to remove it. Maybe I'm confused about what it is you mean, though?
