That's great! LOL My brother called me up with one he'd seen. You know those stickers that have "I [heart] MY [whatever]"? He saw one of those and it occurred to him that it would be funny to have one that had, where the [whatever] goes, a picture of a bumper sticker on a car!
I did that *once* when I was first learning to drive. I was at a "T" and was needing to stop, but hit the gas, accidentally, instead. I got to the brake before going off the other side of the road, but it firmly entrenched in my mind WHICH was WHICH!
Seems to me bare feet wouldn't be slippery unless they were sweaty. I've seen people drive in socks and THAT seems like it might be slippery. I've driven barefoot before, but I don't do it often.
Fuel filter? We've had similar issues in the past and at least twice it ended up being the fuel filter (which is usually an easy and inexpensive fix). I hope it ends up being something simple for you!
According to CNN, a $1 million Italian supercar is headed to the U.S. in 2012. There will probably only be about five of them in the U.S. the first year, so if you want one (LOL) then you'd better be quick!
According to one study, it isn't just the color of your car, but also the make. For example, the study showed that red cars DO get stopped more often, and Hummers are the vehicle of which the owners receive the most tickets.
It's been a while since I was stopped for any reason. The most recent time was about 11 years ago, I think, when I forgot to turn on my headlights when leaving church one evening. They gave me a ticket for children being improperly buckled even though they were all in the seats legally. There...
I've never heard that, and I'm not sure why it would be true (if, indeed, it is). Most people, when car shopping, are going to look at the value of the vehicle, regardless of the gender of the seller/owner.
I have a friend who saw a robin in her yard already! Ok, so it isn't *really* spring yet, but the weather has been wonderful. It makes me wish I had a convertible!
We have a lot of used car dealers here, too. Not all of them are shysters, but I'm sure we have our share of them. The hard part is figuring out which are which!
They have these near big cities, usually (mostly around the "major" US cities, I think). Do you ever go? I live far enough away from the major cities that I haven't, since it would be at least three hours' drive to go to one, but they look neat.
I've never really put stickers on my car, but I've seen some that I really like. I think my favorite is the one that says "ROCK IS DEAD! Long live paper and scissors!"
MomVan, they are probably hoping that making drivers more aware of their speed will help them to slow down and go the proper limit. I think it doesn't usually work like they want it to, though!
I'm kind of both. When I'm the passenger, I usually have a hard time staying awake on long trips, but I also am usually the navigator, so that doesn't always work very well!
I can't imagine doing this, either! Even if it weren't vandalism, messing up something as expensive as a car would be difficult to reconcile! Not sure I'd call it *love*, either, if she's willing to be that destructive!
The belt keeps coming off on my Dodge Grand Caravan. A couple mechanics told me it was the tensioner that needs to be changed. Problem is, I can't figure out how to get the blasted thing OFF! Anybody know how?
Maybe check with one of your local oil-changing locations? Surely they would have a way to dispose of the used oil, since they deal with that regularly.
Ford is suing Ferrari over the use of the F150 name. I wonder who is going to win this one? I think some of these sort of things are ridiculous. Does Ford really think it will be to their detriment if there is a Ferrari F150? Would people really get those two mixed up??
